Theme in Book Theif

The theme in the Book Thief is taking risks. This happens when Liesel takes a risk stealing a book, just as how the Hubermans took a risk and hid a Jew in their own basement. The last example is when Liesel goes to the mayors house and reads books there.

What would life have been like for the non-Jewish residents of Munich who did not support the Nazi ideals?

The life of the non-Jewish residents who didn't support the Nazi's would be bad. They would be poor, hated on, and everyone would not like them. They would be so hated on that they would finally support the Nazi's to stop all of the hating.

What is a Teacher?

What is a teacher? Sometimes you may thing a teacher is someone who tells you stuff, someone who helps you, or even someone you love. What a true teacher is someone who will teach you something, anything. That is what a true teacher is. A person or thing that teaches something to someone, and that someone could be you.

What Does Patriotism Mean to Me

What patriotism used to mean to me; a person who loves their own country. A person who will say the pledge; a person who would die for their country. When people do anything that has spectators that is big, or little, they would will sing the National Anthem. The last way I used to think of patriotism is that you were a New England Patriot fan.

When I was researching what the true definition is, I had changed my opinion on patriotism. Two very famous people, Mark Twain and Thomas Paine, had both said the same thing, “A patriot is someone whose protects its country from its government”. What it really means is that a patriot is someone who loves your own country, but you don't let the government destroy it.

When I was researching what other people thought it means, I also looked up what the definition is. I found out that it means ‘love that people feel for their country, or that is what Merriam-Webster Dictionary said.  What that means is that you love your country, and that it is like your secret love nobody knows but everybody knows.

What I now think what patriotism is that you really love your country. You would do anything for it, even die for it. What patriotism means to me now is that you support your county, and nothing you do would stop you from loving it. In a time of crisis, you would love you country till you die. In America you can do whatever you want. As Barack Obama said, “Yes We Can!”

Galileo's Fall

“Pull up the bridge! Man the ballistae! We are under attack, I repeat. We are under attack!” I yelled as I ran towards the generals. The city was being attacked by the creatures. We destroyed enough of them once to make them retreat but this time they had more forces. As soon I got to the generals, I told them what to do. “Sir Springsteen, take your archers and fire at will at the creatures, go to the first wall right now. Sir Lancelot, you are the front line of defense. You will be at the first wall. Try to hold them off as long as you can. Sir John, you are the second line of defense. Stay at the gate of the second wall. Wait for my orders to drop the bridge so Lancelot’s men can retreat. Sir Henry and Sir George, your men are with thee as we are the last line of defense. Sir Luke, you are the civilians escort. Get them out of the city. Get them to the ships and set sail. Leave several boats for the men. Get the civilians to Ancestor’s Grove. Hopefully King Leonardo will help us. Get the prototypes ready and rig the whole city to blow. You will also give me the detonator. When the civilians are clear, everyone retreat. This is Galileo’s last stand; this is the day mankind has stayed alive. We need to live so we can fight them on our own terms. Good luck and may the Gods be with thy all. May this day be our last, let’s at least give them a hell of a fight to remember!”
My ears started to hurt as the whole army of Galileo roars like a tiger.

"Your holiness, you need to go with the citizens and live. If you die Galileo is lost," Sir Springsteen said. He was concerned about me because I was the king.
"Sir Springsteen, Galileo is already lost. We just need to keep the citizens alive. Now go! Go and take your position," I told him. I could tell he and the other Generals were scared that I would die. I am the King of Galileo.
“If it is my time to die, I will make sure they remember my name" As I walked out to the third wall I could see mass chaos. Every citizen was running for the boats with as much things they could hold in their hand. It seemed like the bulls on my old farm, all running like a stampede. I ran into Sir Luke on my way to the Wall. I made sure I told him this. "Make sure my family gets out of the city Sir Luke. They are the last of the Royalty of Galileo." As I reached the third wall I made sure all of the Armies were in position. I stood by the third wall with Sir Henry and Sir George. I asked Sir George, "Are the charges set yet Sir George?"
"Yes sir here is the detonator. The city will blow at your command," he replied to me as he gave me the detonator. I thought once the civilians are clear, in the boats in the ocean I blow all of these creatures to tiny little pieces.
A soldier came sprinting up to me and said, "Your Holiness, they are attacking the first wall now. Sir Lancelot's men are getting destroyed really fast. If we don't drop the bridge, his men will die."
"Then get ready to drop the bridge of the second wall so his men can retreat. When I say Hoo-Rah, drop the bridge, got it?" I replied to the solder. He said he got it. He now sprinted off to tell the people at the second wall that.
Of all of what I could see of the first wall, I saw Sir Lancelot. He is the youngest general of the army.  He is not that skilled, and he is fighting off five of those creatures. He has killed one, killed another, and then, one the creatures decapitated his head. I'm feeling really bad for Sir Henry right now. Sir Lancelot was Sir Henry's only son. I finally yelled "Hoorah" so Sir John's men can drop the bridge and Sir Springsteen and Sir Lancelot's men could retreat. As the creatures were advancing to the second gate I was thinking, maybe they want just the lands, and put us into slavery. That could very well be true. Just then I remembered about the civilians. I asked the messenger, "are all of the civilians clear yet? If not how much longer till their clear?"

"Sir the Civilians are almost clear but we might not make it. The creatures are too strong for us to handle. Sir Galileo will fall sooner than we realized," replied the messenger. He had a worried look on his face.
"Tell Sir John and his men to retreat to the third wall. That will be where we hold them off for the civilians to get clear, then we retreat to the boats," I told messenger. As the messenger ran off to tell the men I watched out in the distance as the creature's ranks marched into Galileo. Out of nowhere I heard someone yell, "They're at the third wall! Brace yourselves!" Screams of a thousand men were coming to me right now. If we could beat these creatures, no that wouldn't be possible. You see these creatures destroy my men, and they don’t even lay a hit. I don’t know what to do except to run. As I ready my sword I get ready to kill these creatures  out in the distance behind me I hear that the civilians are clear. I'm finally relieved that we can retreat and get out of here. Right then and there I yelled as loud as I could so everyone could hear me, "Retreat! Retreat to the boats now!"
All of a sudden all of my men just start running. When I see them running towards me I start sprinting to my boat. With a thousand men running like bulls behind you, you seem to run faster than you actually can. All of us are running through Galileo's town square, and it is huge. I've never been down this way at all. I get lost right away. I hear screams starting again from the creatures catching up to us. I think of one only option right now. My only option is to blow the city. I yell at the top of my lungs, "everyone get down! Blow the city up! Blow it up while we can!" After I yell that I clicked the detonator for the charges right away. All over the city you see explosions all over the city. Bodies flying up into the air; screams of a thousand men. I get flown across the square when an explosion goes off right by me. I know this is the only option, as if we would've gotten to the boats, the creatures would've gotten to the boats to and would have killed us. I seem them retreating, only the ones able to get out of the blasts. I keep hearing screams, then nothing. I see nothing and I hear nothing. I am telling the world goodbye.

Why Did So Many Colonists Die In Jamestown?

1607. Remember that year. Remember that year because that is how you and me got here, in America.  That year is the year the first successful colony for the English on the land that is now the United States of America. In the first six months of that colony, 70 colonists died of the first 110 settlers on this colony, the colony named Jamestown. So what happened that made so many colonists die?

The first 104 settlers were all males, so why did so many die. Of those 110 settlers, from a ship list of all the settlers that went to the colony, 47 people who were called a gentlemen, have never done anything with their hands, they were all people of the rich. They would have to learn how to work and use their hands unless they were so greedy, they just sat around. Also from that list there was a group of people that the people who made the list, did not know their occupation, which was another 30 people who probably didn’t know what they were doing.

With people who didn’t know what they were doing, the people probably also didn’t know how to farm to make their food. On a Rainfall Index of Jamestown, the year 1607, in Jamestown, there was a drought. The drought would have food become harder to grow, and they would need a great farmer to make food with what rain they have, with about 80 people who didn't know what they were doing, and also no farmers, so they didn't have any growing the crops or at least didn’t have someone who knew what they were doing so they probably didn't grow many crops, and near the end of summer, there was sickness that killed about half the population. The sickness was probably caused by starvation of food.

By people not knowing what they were doing, they probably had to learn everything new. By that people didn’t know what to do when a drought was happening, and led to starvation. When you starve, you get sick, and many people die of sickness. So if you’re wondering why did so many colonists die in Jamestown? The reason why, nobody knew what they were doing back then.

What Type of Reader Are You?

From sports books, to action and adventure books, and also to distant universe books, I have read a ton of books. I have stuck to more than these types of books, but what I see of what I read, is that I am a person who sticks to action/adventure fiction.

In my childhood I have read books that a bit of an adventure or something that tells a tale, one author I remember from childhood that I read a lot is Dr. Seuss. He had some great children's books that told a tale of something.

In late elementary and last year I read books from action spy books, to some fantasy books, and corrupt societies. Some the books I read from these genres are Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz, The Lightning Theif by Rick Riordan, and also Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. I see that I am a diverse reader in this age with all of the books I read.

So far this year I have my list of genres that I have read and have started to read other genres like sport books, but still, what all of these books have in common is that they all have some kind of adventure in the book that I like to read. Maybe there are other genres with books that have an action parts in them or an adenventure.

Some Things Never Change

Authors Note: This is a text analysis piece for LA. I did it on a quote I think has great meaning. Look for how I describe this quote.

The quote “Facts are facts and will not disappear on account of your likes” by Jawaharlal Nehru has a special meaning. That meaning is that things that are true, it doesn't matter if you agree with it or not, it will never go away. It will remain the truth. If you did something and somebody saw it or heard about it, you’ll deny it even though you did it. You can't have everything perfect. That is what I think is the special meaning of the quote “Facts are facts and will not disappear on account of your likes” by Jawaharlal Nehru.

Should People Try to Stand Out and Fight for Equality

Authors Note: This is my DWA piece for language arts. Look at my narrative introduction and also how I connected the body paragraphs.

As he was riding his horse down the trail, he was yelling. He was yelling the famous quote, “The British are coming, the British are coming!” He was warning those of the danger coming. The British were attack Massachusetts after the Boston tea party. He helped fight for his own rights, that is why I think that you should fight for your own rights.

I was reading an article on Google News, and it was about how in Minnesota, gay marriage is legal now. Gay people in Minnesota fought for their rights in Minnesota, and know they can marry in Minnesota. The bill to legalize it in Minnesota had to go through 3 different houses in order for it to legalized. It had to go through the senate, the House, and the governor.  So with Minnesota legalizing gay marriage, that makes that 12 U.S.  states have legalized gay marriage cause gay people fought for it.

With gay people fighting for their rights to marry each other, African Americans have fought for them also. In the 1950’s, African Americans were fighting for equal rights. There were several main people fighting for equal rights, Martin Luther King Jr, Jackie Robinson, and Rosa Parks. Rosa Parks fought for equal rights when she wouldn’t give up her seat to a white person, that ended in boycotting and the stop of segregation on busses in Tuskegee, Alabama. That started the end of segregation. In baseball segregation ended by a man named Jackie Robinson. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers, were he made history, and Martin Luther King Jr. was the leader of all of this. He gave speeches, boycotts, but nothing with violence.

With gay people fighting if they can marry, or when African Americans fought for their own rights, I believe when people are fighting for their own rights, as if it is a major problem, or if it is a problem just at home where not everybody will hear about it. People fighting for their rights is the right things, but I don’t get why America already lets them have their right, the bill of rights already states that all men is equal, none greater than the other. Our founding fathers created that bill, so all men and woman should be equal.

While if you are gay, or if you a person in a poor country, fighting for your rights is the right thing. If you don’t have rights like everybody has, and you fight for it, people shouldn’t hate you for it, even if you are gay, a woman, African American, or a country trying to free itself. keep trying, because you will succeeded.

Physical Education Essay

Authors Note: This is an Essay that I did for Physical Education. I also used it for my Language Arts Class to get a better grade. I explained how  would use Physical Education in my life at a later time.

Physical Education

As he sprints as fast as he can during the last 100 meters in the 400 meter dash, he passes a kid from another school and went into 1st place. The boy is only winning by a few meters. He keeps up his speed. 30, 20, 10, 5, Finish line. He did it, he won the race. His mind is blowing. He only won the race by participating in Phy Ed and doing things in there to help him get better. Phy Ed teaches people how drugs can affect you and get you better at sports and be healthier too. It can also help me become a healthier person.

When I grow up to be whatever I am, I still would work out to keep my body in shape so I wouldn't be a fat person and eat junk food and McDonalds all the time. I would go to a gym and work out, or even just run in my neighborhood. By being in Phy Ed I can do those activities that I did in there and do it when imp older.

Health in Phy Ed would also help me. In Health I learned about the harmful effects of drugs and what they can do to you. If I was playing sports, I would know not to do drugs and that they would ruin my career, they would only make it worse. When somebody has a heart attack, I now know how to save them. Health in Phy Ed has helped me learn these things.

In Phy Ed, you learn things that get you better at sports and get you healthier at life. With the things I learned in Phy Ed, I could be the next star at a sport. I think I could feel good even longer with the things I learned in Physical Education.

Devastating World War Two

Authors Note: This is a piece that I am using to get my grade higher in LA. I am telling you the causes of World War Two and what had happened because of it.

World War II was caused by a lot of things, yet the output was even greater: the world’s economy and technology was even greater than before, but also there were bad effects of the war. Some people think it is the greatest thing that has happened to mankind, some people disagree.

What caused WWII was why some people think different about it. When the first World War ended the Germans were blamed for the whole thing. The Germans had lost a lot of land and they could not have an army as a punishment also. In Germany, Hitler, the Nazi party leader, rose to power and started the war. He started WWII by attacking Poland. Japan helped make it a world war. Japan wanted to conquer east Asia. When they joined the Axis, they agreed that they would take European and American territories in the Pacific ocean. That’s what caused WWII.

The effects what caused WWII effected what happened at the end of the war. The world gained a new source of power: nuclear power. From nuclear power we get two things, nuclear bombs and nuclear energy.  Also the United States and the Soviet Union became the superpowers of the world. The US had a great economy and the Soviet Union got a massive army. They being the super powers of the world that was what started the Cold War, a race for nuclear technology but it also created the United Nations and  Another good thing from WWII was that the world got better medical supplies. We could get troops well faster and we could save more lives. The world got better electricity and we could now connect TVs through the internet. Lastly the world sadly had 60 to 80 million total deaths. That was about 2.5% of the world’s population at the time.

The second world war was the worst war on Earth, with 60 to 80 million people killed, but it also helped the earth a ton. We got better supplies and resources to help people. Also it was caused by some things that didn’t mean to happen, or from a war before it. The causes of WWII was what made the world it is today, and also the effect have an even bigger effect on the world as we know it today.

March 6th concert review

This is an assignment that I did for my Band Class. We were supposed to write a 4 paragraph essay in review of my band's concert in the view of an audience member, not as a person that was in the band.

Band Essay
Tyler Johnson
3-11-13
ACMS Band Concert

On March 6th, I watched the 7th grade, Jazz and 8th grade bands that play for Asa Clark Middle School In the high school’s new auditorium that a band first played in was in the 2012-2013 school year. It was these bands 2nd time playing this school year. The concert time was from 6:30-7:30 with all three bands in it. I think these three bands, 7th grade band, Jazz band and 8th grade band all did and look great.
The 7th grade band did excellent. Throughout the five pieces; Knights of Destiny, Space Journey, Junkyard Jam, Abandon Treasure, Zoom, I heard at least every instrument once. They had a piece that changed from 5/4 time signature to 4/4 time signature and also even to a 3/4 time signature. Asa’s 7th grade band had some slow songs like in Space Journey, a song that had three movements, the 2nd movement was slow throughout the whole thing. During the whole part of 7th grade the band didn’t seem like they messed up through all of the songs.
Jazz band was pretty good. In their first song, Rockin’ minor, a kid by the name of Tyler Johnson had a solo during the song. It was a nice solo, but it seemed he messed up a little bit in the beginning. The second song, 21 to 6 or4, Alex Steinhaus, he plays the Baritone Saxophone, had a lot of solos during that piece, but it seemed he was squeaking a little bit.
The 8th grade band was the last to go at the concert. Their first song, Mars: The Bringer of War, had a 5/4 time signature like the 7th grade, but it was a slower song. Their other four songs, The Great Locomotive Chase, Among the Clouds, Music from Carmin, and Adrenaline Fniges, were slow and fast during the whole songs, switching between the two. I think they did a great job on all of their pieces.
For the bands of Asa Clark Middle school, I think they all did a well overall good job. From slow pieces to faster ones, different time signatures and dynamics, they all did job well done on those pieces. That is all why I thing the 7th grade band, Jazz band, and 8th grade band all did a great job.

The Man

In Language Arts class my teacher was having us do a journal entry on this topic; Create a wintry scene that utilizes figurative language. So then I created this piece about a man.

In the desert that is all white, a man strides.

Wearing a boot that will sink into the soft ground.

He wears a coat made entirely out of fur, a coat as warm as a volcano.
On his bottoms are thick cotton pants that are tight, too tight to fit a mouse in it.
To keep you the bitter coldness out he wears a hat made out of cotton.
This man will never see a soul again in this vast flat lands of white.

Letter to Grandma

This is a piece to work on my word choice and sentence fluency to get my grade higher in those categories. This piece I talk about me and a new activity I just stated.

Dear Grandma,
Sorry for not writing you back from all the times you've sent me letters or birthday cards, but I have been busy with sports and other things. This is my make up letter to you with some pictures.
I have done many new things starting this year, but I want to tell you about one thing: I have started snowboarding and doing ski club. I wanted to do something in the winter like ski or snowboard, but I didn't want to do skiing cause I heard it’s easy to learn and I see a lot more snowboarders on TV than skiers, so I choose snowboarding. I also started snowboarding because I don’t do basketball anymore cause I didn't make the team for three years, so I had nothing else to do. So far I’m not a great snowboarder, but at least I know how to stand up and go down the hill, stop, and turn, yet my turning still needs some work. Like all  people, when somebody starts snowboarding, they fall, and I have  fallen too.  Some falls have been major, while some have been soft. I've fallen were I roll over three times with my snowboard on my feet, and I've fell when I come to a stop.
So far I've gone snowboarding three times. The first type was at a ski hill where there was a hotel, and it doesn't have many runs. There I had my first and only lesson. I learned how to walk with my snowboard, stop when I’m going down a hill, and a little bit on how to turn. My second time I went with a club at school to a larger ski hill that is twice as long as the drive to the first ski hill I went to. There I got a little bit better at snowboarding, but I still was bad at turning. On my third ski trip and latest, I got way better at turning, and I fell a lot less also. So far I have only gone on bunny hills, and I haven’t gone on lifts, but soon I will go on the larger hills.
Out of all the things I wanted to tell you, I wanted to tell you about me starting snowboarding. I choose this activity because I think snowboarding is really cool, but also it’s the most recent thing I’ve done and I remember it the most. Thank you for all of the letters you've sent me that I couldn't reply to. I hope you have a great year.

Sincerely,
Tyler

A Point of View can make a difference.

  • Authors Note: This is my Point of View piece. Some people may have their own view of things, and from another's, it totally different. See what makes you think this one person is really bad.

In the novel “The Lightning Thief”, which was written by the author Rick Riordan, and it was in the point of view of a kid named Percy Jackson. Percy Jackson is a boy that is half mortal, half god. His father is the Greek god Poseidon. He was a normal twelve year-old boy with ADHD and dyslexia, until an ancient Greek spirit attacks him in a Greek museum. His Latin teacher, Chiron, gives him a pen-sword called riptide to defeat the fury. He goes on an adventure to get Zeus’s Lightning Bolt from Hades. You feel his emotions from him being brave or just sad.
When Percy comes home from school every day, his stepfather, Gabe, is always playing poker and drinking beer with his friends. When Gabe runs out of money, he goes and takes Percy’s money and doesn’t even ask for it. He always makes Percy get his beer for him when Percy is home. When Percy goes to Camp Half-Blood and his mom goes missing, Gabe says to the police that Percy is crazy and kidnapped his mother.
If the book or some of it was in Gabe’s view it would be different. Percy Jackson has problems, like ADHD and dyslexia, so Gabe would see him as a crazy person. Gabe is his stepfather now, so he has ownership over some of the money. With player poker, he is making money for the family. Also when Percy and His mother goes missing, Gabe might think Percy went psycho and Kidnapped his mother because of his problems.
Some peoples’ point of view changes how you think of someone. In “The Lightning Thief”, Percy describes what he thinks of his step-father, which influences you. If you take in his step-fathers point of view, you might think of him different. That’s just like real life. If somebody tells you one side of the story, you might think somebody is mean, but if you hear their side of the story, they might not be mean, but nice.

Friends Can Be Very Helpful

Authors Note: This is my theme piece. This piece is about friends that help you in many different ways. See how much friendship can mean something.

Some people have family all of their life. Great grandparents to great grandchildren, but some people also lost their family, or their family all had died, but also with family, there is friendship. Two characters in the book “Blood Ninja” had became friends from a tragic event. Friends that helped her from tough times. Everybody finds a friend, and they always help you through tough times. The theme of friendship comes through this novel and many other.
Taro and Heiro are best friends and have known each other since they were around five years old. Taro met Heiro when Heiro’s family’s boat was being attacked by a water monster. Taro went out to save them saved Heiro, and brought him to shore. Taro then went out to save his parents but they were dead. He got bit by the water monster that attacked Heiro’s boat and almost died. From then, Heiro was loyal to Taro most of his life, but they also became friends. When you have friends, you have a power like no other.
Friends are there to help you through tough times. After Taro’s step-father dies, and his mother goes away to protect herself, Heiro needs to help Taro survive, honor his father and find his mother again. When Heiro helps Taro through that, Taro changes as anybody should, but he changes in a way different way. Taro gets turned into a vampire, and Taro can’t be in the sunlight, so Heiro helps Taro during the day with supplies. Heiro still helps Taro even when  he changes into a different being.
Friends help you through tough times and when changes happen. They also help you when you find out about something that doesn’t seem like the truth. When Taro finds out his real father is, he is shocked, surprised, and he thinks it’s a lie. He thinks it’s not possible, his father he’s known isn’t his real father, but Heiro helps him with the truth. Even Heiro thinks it’s not possible.
The theme of friendship happens in a character named Ellen from the book “Warrior Heir”. She was kidnapped from her parents, fostered to be a killer, but she also found some friends along the way; friends that would help her become something she wasn’t being fostered for. She made many friends, but one of them she would have to face in a battle to the death. She likes him too much that she doesn’t kill him. She broke the rules so she could save her friend. In the end he was the one that helped her not be something she isn’t, a cold-blooded killer.
Your friends are there for you when you need it: when your parents die, or you when find out about a truth, or even when somebody changes, but friends will always be there for you. Just like Taro and Heiro in the book “Blood Ninja”, they help each other through  times when they need it.  Everybody finds friends, doesn’t matter when, or how, but they do, and the friends will help them through tough times and times when some things doesn’t seem right.

How Yukiko changes in the book Blood Ninja

Authors Note: This is my Character Analysis piece for LA. Look for how i explained the events that made Yukiko change.

Yukiko was a great person almost throughout the book  Blood Ninja. She was a great person to be around. When she was an infant a man saved her and her twin sister, Heiko, from under a wooden stair case. The man’s name is Shusaku. He is helping Taro kill Lord Oda, who is trying to become shogun of Japan,  and Taro is a son of one of Japan’s lords: The son of Lord Tokugawa’s son. Lord Oda and Lord Tokugawa are enemies. When they were at a ninja base, where people train as ninjas, Yukiko and Hiro often challenge each other in wrestling and sword fighting. Yukiko won almost all of the times.
On the way to kill Lord Oda at his castle, Heiko, who is Yukiko’s sister, gets her head cut off by a samurai named Kenji Kira, the top samurai and leader of all of the samurai for Lord Oda to save Taro, Shusaku, Hiro, and Yukiko. When Taro, Shusaku, Hiro and Yukiko got to the castle, Yukiko and Taro went in one of the prison towers to complete their mission, kill a prisoner in one of the cells. When they got to the cell, they opened up the door and it was a girl in the cell. The girl was Lord Oda’s daughter. Taro and the girl met once when Taro, Hiro, and Shusaku saved her from some soldiers.
Unknowing of how they met, Yukiko turns wicked. She wants revenge on Taro, Taro’s mother, and she also wants to kill Kenji Kira because he killed Yukiko’s sister. Yukiko knows she will suffer, but she will do whatever it takes to kill Taro, his mother, and Kenji Kira. She turns to Lord Oda’s side. The girl and taro escape, but Lord Oda is just trading a daughter, for a new daughter.
Yukiko is just like Mr. Hastings in the book Warrior Heir. Mr. Hastings was training Jack, a wizard that got implanted with a warrior stone, to fight and defend himself against wizards and other warriors. After Mr. Hasting healed Jack with magic from a magic spell he captured Jack and forced him to play in games. The games he wasn’t trying to play in. A game where two warriors where trying to fight to the death. Hastings wanted to do it to get revenge on the games. So Yukiko and Mr. Hastings are similar in some ways, mainly to get revenge.
